Frequently Asked Questions

The basics before you choose a beat or license.

What’s the difference between a lease and an exclusive?
A lease gives you licensed usage of the beat under the terms of the license you purchase. An exclusive license is intended for an artist who wants exclusive rights going forward. Always review the exact agreement presented with your purchase.
Do I get the trackouts or stems?
Trackouts are included with qualifying license options. The $100 Lease + Trackouts option is designed for artists who want the individual stems for recording, mixing and greater control over the final song.
Can I release my song on streaming platforms?
Your permitted release and distribution usage depends on the license you purchase. Review the license terms at checkout before releasing your song.
Do I have to give producer credit?
Follow the credit requirements stated in your license agreement. When producer credit is required, use the exact credit specified in that agreement.
What happens if someone already leased the beat?
Non-exclusive licenses may be purchased by more than one artist. Purchasing an exclusive later does not automatically erase valid licenses that were issued before the exclusive purchase.
Can I request a custom beat?
Yes. Custom production starts at $500 and is built specifically around the direction of your record.
